This was my trip to Thailand, and I thought Bangkok would be a good city to visit while I was there.
I flew in from Bali, Indonesia on January 18th, and flew back to Taipei, Taiwan the 23rd.
The flights were $90.32 and $144.80 respectively, totaling $235.12
I stayed at T2 Sathorn Residence while I was there since the price was good and it had just recently been built. It isn't necessarily a prime location to be at for tourists, but cabs are cheap and there's a subway stop that's about a 10 minute walk away.
The cost of the hotel for the 5 nights I was there came out to $169.30 or $33.86 per day.
Total spend:
6600 baht Cash
3800 baht Credit Card
Total = ~ $350 USD (10400 baht)
To give you guys a sense of how much stuff cost:
The exchange rate is about 30 baht to 1 USD
Massages: 320 baht to 1365 baht.
The length of massages ranges from 30 minute massages to 2 hour massages. You can definitely find cheaper massages, but I wanted to go with places that were recommended.
Food per meal: 100 baht to 600 baht.
100 baht is street food while 600 baht is at a restaurant.
Drinks: 100 baht to 460 baht. 100 baht is the cost of a beer, while 460 baht is a drink at a rooftop bar.
Transportation: Taxi within the city for me averaged 100 baht, and taxi to and from the two airports cost me 400 and 435.
Grand Palace Ticket: 500 baht
Wat Pho Ticket: 200 baht
Souvenirs at airport: 825 baht. I bought some crackers and chocolate.

My itinerary was a little laid back, but I will still share it in case anyone is looking for any ideas on what to do while there:

Walked from The Grand Palace to Wat Pho - about a 10 minute walk. If you want to see the temples around there, it may be worthwhile to get an all day water taxi pass.
Beware, The Grand Palace has A LOT of tourists, so you may be there for a while. Also, make sure you either bring or buy some long pants since most temples won't let you in without long pants. Shoes are also recommended, but I hear you can get in with sandals.
At Wat Pho, there's a Thai massage school in there. I would recommend going there if you happen to be there.
